Rebuilding a Piece of History: Sandstone Wall & Entrance Restoration at Dawpool, Thurstaston, Wirral
We rebuilt this stunning red sandstone boundary wall and entrance in Thurstaston, Wirral — a conservation area site once owned by Thomas Henry Ismay, founder of the White Star Line. Every stone was recycled from the original structure, large boulders were split using traditional plug and feather methods, and hot lime mortar was used throughout.
