restoring roughcast plaster

Rough cast textures  or wet dash were often used for large areas and can be fairly maintenance  free requiring only whitewashing or painting. This large family home required some extensive structural repairs to remedy water and frost damage, rotten timber lintel replacement and loose flaking paint

The building had many problems resulting in the deteriation of both the internal and external plasterwork,  our work was to remove and replace all of the plasterwork internally following renovation and externally to replace the painted rough cast finish with a dry dashed golden stone and to blend the whole building into onewpid-wp-1443388043288.jpeg
